As was announced in January, Theo and his family were invited for two days of 25 th the Marathon des Sables Morocco of 8 to 11 April.
The 6 members of the association "Infinite Passion of the sport club Athena of Luneville participating in the marathon have managed to find funds to finance our trip.
We can not thank them enough for having introduced to Theo other backgrounds, cultures and especially to show him what some are capable make for a good cause.
All six went to the end of 250km in mind Theo .
We thank Patrick also Bauer , the Director of the race, which offered him a helicopter trip over the desert to see the race "from above" and a night VIP camp (with all the comforts that lends itself!).
History of stay:
So we went to Ouarzazatte in southern Morocco April 8.
After a night at the hotel Ibis, we 6am 4X4 (hard drive) to reach the starting point of the last stage in the middle of the desert. We found it to beautiful.
The camp was divided into several parts, as corner tents of the participants, the infirmary to treat the wounded feet, the dining, the guests sleeping in the Marathon (us).
Theo made his helicopter ride.
the evening, there was a video projection on the Marathon, a magic show and a concert by musicians from the Paris Opera! (Yes in desert)
After spending a night under the tent, we all could watch the start of the last manner 21Km stage in the sand dunes and at the finish to Merzouga 2 hours later for the fastest!

After the celebrations of the arrival, we all returned to our hotel 4X4 Ouarzazatte late evening.
For the last day, we were invited to come and attend the awards to the best of each category.
Back in Paris the same evening.
Theo has had an eyeful!!
